Change Storage Layout
Goal:
To change the storage layout
Note:
Changing the storage layout changes the way that your scans are saved in the destination that you specify.
Step 1: Open OneTouch on the bottom right of your taskbar.
Step 2: If prompted, select the scanner that is connected to your PC.
Step 3: Right click on the Scan icon (Or Paper In icon for mobile scanners).
Step 4: Make sure that “Transfer to Storage” is selected and click “Properties.”
Step 5: You can choose from the different options for “Storage layout.”
- a. All documents are in the root – Your scans are put directly into the destination you specified, no subfolders.
- b. Documents are put in folders by month – Your scans are put into a folder inside the destination you specified, separating your scans by the month they were scanned.
- c. Documents are put in folders by month – Your scans are put into a folder inside the destination you specified, separating your scans by the month they were scanned.
- d. Documents are put in folders by type – Your scans are put into a folder inside the destination you specified, separating your scans by the file format you scanned in.
Step 6: Click Apply and OK in all windows to save your changes.
