Intelligent Scanning on Your Network
Network Scanning
Direct connect scanners are a vital part of a document capture strategy and network scanners are the perfect solution for an office that has shared scanner requirements. Network scanning achieves two major goals for your document workflow and capture with great efficiency and ease of use. Firstly, a network scanner can be conveniently located in common areas and does not require a PC connection. Secondly, the scanner can easily access broad network connections to file servers, email servers, FTP locations, network printers and fax servers.
Xerox® Xerox DocuMate 3920
The Xerox DocuMate 3920 is designed with convenience and ease-of-use in mind. It has been developed to support small to medium workgroups and offices through a standard Ethernet connection and provides secure multi-user access, with easy administration tools available through an embedded formbased web page configuration. No expensive network contractor or IT department is required to begin scanning documents to local servers or FTP locations.
Scan to email
The scan-to-email feature lets you scan paperbased documents in full colour and e-mail them in PDF, JPEG, or TIFF file format directly from the Xerox DocuMate 3920. As a result, you can send the scanned document simultaneously to multiple addresses or distribution lists. The Xerox DocuMate 3920 supports LDAP (lightweight directory access protocol) for direct access to Microsoft Exchange Server email directories and also enables 2,000 custom email addresses to be stored.
Scan to filing
The scan-to-filing feature allows users to scan documents and save them to a PC folder or to any server in the network or externally on the internet through FTP, HTTP, HTTPS or CIFS. The built-in Ethernet connection gives this device full or limited network privileges as defined by the network administrator.
Digital copying
When the Xerox DocuMate 3920 is connected to a PCL5-enabled printer through its USB connection, you can turn the solution into a powerful digital copier. Through the easy-to-use operation panel, you can make copies just the same as you would do on a copier.
Network Management Tool
The Xerox DocuMate 3920 Network Management Tool allows the adminstrator to easily configure one or multiple devices on the network. The form driven web page allows easy creation of up to 2,000 email addresses and 50 filing destinations to support the document scanning workflows at the device and on the network.
The Xerox DocuMate 3920 supports LDAP for direct access to Microsoft Exchange Server email directories and SMTP (Simple Mail Transfer Protocol) server support so that small businesses without elaborate Exchange servers or large IT departments can configure their scan-toemail with internet and ISP based mail services. The built-in Ethernet connection gives the device full or limited network privileges via a simple web-based network management tool.
Multiple pages sending
With an Auto Document Feeder (ADF), the Xerox DocuMate 3920 allows a 50-page document stack to be continuously scanned and transmitted at one time in reliable quality to increase your efficiency.
Fax
